As I mentioned in a previous tread, I thought this was an awesome fight and Fitch showed a lot of heart. Very impressive how he was not finished. But, GSP did fuck him up

The official could have stopped if four times, by my count, but didn't. It was the right choice. He was getting whipped but was defending himself. Fitch gets my respect for going the whole fight.

Did anyone elso notice during the round by round replays of Fitch getting pounded that every time GSP threw a bomb he had his eyes closed?

Fitch said he was going to dominate GSP. He said GSP was afraid of striking after getting KO'd by Serra, and that he is nothing more than a glorified wrestler. Well, instead of dominating GSP, Fitch ended up getting tossed around the cage, dropped multiple times and he barely put a scratch on GSP. So, in spite of having great heart, he got pwn3d.

Every post in which I commented on this, I have given Fitch his props for showing what a strong heart he has. It still doesn't change the fact that he got his ass kicked for 5 solid rounds.

By the way, isn't that why we watch MMA? To see people getting their ass kicked at an elite level? I'm going to go ahead and chalk up your hypersensitivity to being on your period or something Geo.

See. You've now resorted to attacking me, simply because we have a difference of opinion. That's the kind of stuff I'm not going to tolerate on this board. Comment all you want about fighters, fights, organizations, etc., but leave the insults to the letter boards.

As for getting "pwn3d!11!", we could debate all day what that truly means. To me, it simply means that you were made to look like an ass. In Fitch's case, he has been saying all year long that he would dominate GSP. Well, that didn't happen, did it? Did Fitch put up a valiant effort? Hell yes. And it made for an awesome fight. But he still got owned. Not once did he have GSP in trouble. And GSP toyed with him the whole time.

you're out of your mind,fitch did nothing but give GSP respect and commented on some points in GSP game where he could capitalize just like any other fighter does....

For the sake of technicalities, I agree with MindSpin. No one who saw the fight would disagree that GSP ruled Fitch's world for 25 minutes. Everything that GSP wanted to do to Fitch, he was able to do. A spinning backfist, for goodness sake?!? Unless you are Shonie Carter, you don't try something like that unless you know that everything you touch is turning to gold. And Fitch did say he was going to embarass GSP, and of course the opposite happened. By the end of the third round Fitch looked like he just wanted to go home, but he never quit and deserves a lot of respect.

I think that is an ad hominem, brah. When someone attacks the speaker instead of the subject at hand. Fitch did have a lot of heart, and did last the whole fight. There aren't too many people that could actually walk in that octagon with the mentalilty of destroying GSP: like Fitchy did. However, he did get punished pretty bad throughout the fight. It was like watching Pretty Boy Floyd go to work. So precise in the attack was GSP.
