Pervert Posing As Cop Tries And Fails To See Free PornTuesday August 12, 2008
Photo courtesy: Longmont Police DeptWell, at least it's a novel approach to getting your smut for free. Police in Longmont, Colorado not far from Boulder, are on the hunt for a pervert with an interesting M.O. He walks into an adult video store, flashes a badge and an official looking but nameless business card, and tells the clerk the following story about why he's there.
He claims to be a police detective from the "age verification unit" of the local force and he's on the hunt for illegal pornography. He tells the employee he needs to see their DVDs to ensure none of the actors in the skin flicks are underage.
So far none of the seen-it-all clerks has given in to the ridiculous claim. The suspect has tired three times in the last nine days to get a peek at the porn and has been turned down every time - possibly the same result he has with women.
After his last unsuccessful attempt to get a free sneak peek, the proprietor called police and the defective detective bolted.
"It was inventive on his part, I'll give him that," affirms local Commander Tim Lewis, who notes no such unit exists in the Longmont police department.
Now cops are scanning a different kind of video - surveillance - to try and spot him (top left). So far, the elusive would-be porn peeker remains at large.
