I don't spend that much on gas in months. I take the train to work most days, and I just converted my hybrid to plug-in hybrid. Probably should have waited till it became cheaper, but somebody's got to help bring the tech in.

How do you know the gas is extracted from US ground?
Why do you need to buy gas, if your hummer is diesel?
How are you addressing the NO_x and other emissions you're putting into the environment?

doesn't matter where the gas is coming from. as long as there is a limited supply, anybody who controls the supply will benefit.
maybe he has two cars. in any case, regular diesel is just less refined than gas.

I have 3 cars, 2 are diesel one is gas which we rarely use. I buy gas once a month from a local mom & pop station supplied by a refinery in Texas using local crude only.

About the NO_x... I take a walk on a Friday night and pick them all up... but at 17-21MPG with my H1, my carbon footprint is probably half yours, which will hurt you once the canadian government starts taxing it.
