I watched Paddy's fights. He's good!!! I think he'll make the final! ... (although the Olympic scoring system seems very flawed?) Incidentally, Zimbabwe have 3 silvers and a Gold now. And our sprinter made the final of the 200m last night.

If you are from Belfast should you not be more concerned with the performance of your home team?

Belfast is in Ireland. Born in Ireland..therefore Irish Belfast is in Northern Ireland hence your support should be towards the "Great Britain And Northern Ireland" team, not "Eire".

Boxer from Belfast representing Ireland rather than Britain?
What's this all about then? Surely the boxer should be with us, weeping as they raise the Union Jack and hearing God Save The Queen?

Belfast is NOT in Ireland, it is in Northern Ireland. Two totally separate and very distinct countries.

She is the Queen. I would not disrespect here because I am not English in the same way just because I am not Buddist does not mean i will disrespect the daili Lama. Belfast is NOT in Ireland, it is in Northern Ireland. Two totally separate and very distinct countries.
Your silliest post ever. Ireland is an Island. And Belfast is a city in Ireland. That is like saying that Berlin is not in Europe because it is Germany. Boxer from Belfast representing Ireland rather than Britain?
What's this all about then? Surely the boxer should be with us, weeping as they raise the Union Jack and hearing God Save The Queen?
Boxing is massive in Ireland. I know lots of boxers, lots of respect for them I think it is funny when people 1000s of miles away try to tell me what country is what. It is like me commenting on North African borders etc

Don't be so fucking dumb you twat. Ireland and Northern Ireland are two different countries on the same island of land. It's the same with Scotland and England. Belfast is a city in NORTHERN IRELAND just like Glasgow is a city in Scotland, not England. Ireland and the word Island may sound the same but they are different things. God, you are one thick Northern Irish Brit.

When I lived in England, the jokes were all about the Irish - in the same way that we, Canadians, reference the Newfs. I can remember only one. Why did the Irish team abandon their Everest quest? Answer: they ran out of scaffolding.

He is not Irish Chimps. He is Northern Irish. He is a Brit and part of the British Isles. Northern Island is a totally different country and Goudy lives in it's capital city, Belfast.
Goudy is British, not Irish.
