yea, that would be true from the current vantage point, but you have to look at this through knowing what potential lengths neocons are willing to go.  Add a massive bombing of Iran, US troops facing off with "the renewed soviet threat"  and toss in a fresh round of terrorist attacks and those opposition voices won't matter for shit.  Fear and stupidity will trump as usual.  Plus at that point, what will it matter?  Opposition voices in WWIII?  LOL, that's past the point of no return my friend.

Sure that is your stance. But the flip side is, he is realistic. He has served the country for so many years he knows the pulse of foreign relations. His mindset is, it's better to be safe than sorry, and prepared rather than unprepared. Obama, wants to dismantle the nations 10.6 billion dollar missle defense shield.

why wouldn't he say "might ask" instead of "will ask" then  Why wouldn't he address the woman's call in the town hall meeting for reinstating the draft with it being only needed in the worst case scenario.  She addressed that we wouldn't have enough men/women serving to do the work needed and she saw the draft as the only way.  He agreed with everything she said.  There isn't much appearance here of prepared, as much as an appearance of planned!

I don't think thats enough proof to say the draft will be back under McCain.  I understand the suspicion, but I don't think it will happen.  Seems that he is very encouraging to young people about serving in the military...of course but Obama is encouraging service as well.  McCain does get too aggressive for my liking about some of the international issues.  However, even if he would support a draft, I doubt it would happen.  Too many would protest.
