the other athletes such as swimmers, divers, gymnists, cyclists and volleyball?  My perception is that the track athletes are arrogant, showboats, and lack class.  The wear gold chains, flashy glasses, and are cocky.  If you have seen their interviews, they give cocky answers, are not friendly, and act foolish.  The other mentioned athletes act intelligently, classy, and give great insight in their interviews.

Our track athletes failed to deliver...

What is your take on this?

not racist, they lack class, thats all.  their interviews sucked compared to the humility of the other athletes, not to mention that they failed to deliver.

no racist at all.

on the olympic note, how come the chinese female divers that were 15 years old were bigger than the 16 year old gymasts? hmmm?

no, you're racist because you are saying black people lack the intelligence to give a normal interview. You also said that all black athletes are all bling bling.
Not to mention that they lack class because they are black....

Should i go on?

Not sure you understand the whole dynamics.  Track stars growing up were always way more popular in school than the swimmers or volleyball players etc...  They are treated to a higher standard and are put on pedestals.  When there are big parties, the track stars, football players and basketball players got invited.  The swimmers? The diving team?  Nope.  They always were more of the book nerds.  Track stars just like basketball players and football players have more of an attitude and cockiness because they recieved attention their whole lives.  They were able to get away with more crap in school than say a swimmer could.  If you go to the inner city you'll see kids running up and down the street.  The closest swimming pool has so much chlorine in it that it can turn these black kids white.  When they want to play in water in the summer they turn on the fire hydrants.
Don't hate.  Congratulate.

Excellent point and I agree.

We all know the names of the big track runners in the Olympics here. Can anyone [without googling lol] name the American archery team? The kayakers?  Everyone recalls Carl Lewis winning. That year - who won the archery? The hammer throw? No one really knows or cares.

The track guys get all the press and attention, so they will be more flashy.

I dunno dude.

Misty May-Trainor seems to be just as arrogant and snotty as any of the others out there. She just does it but acting like a little queen bitch instead of like a jungle ape like, say, that Usem Bolt guy or the US track guys.

What is your take on this?

It is amazing how people can not see how the media influences their mentality...No one seems to have an original thought, idea, conclusion anymore (hint hint).

Your opinion is no more than a regurgitation of what the media says. The IOC coach was just blasted over the fact that he made crude remarks to Usain Bolt because of 'his' 'perceived' arrogance. Did this IOC offiicial comment as Mathias Steiner jumped around on the stage like a TOTAL INBRED DOWN SYNDROME RETARD after his olympic lifts?, did he coment as Steiner gave his jerky speech about doing this for his wife? How about the americans dropping the baton in the relays? Or the even more reprehensible action of the Swedish wrestler who threw his medal to the floor in protest?...NOOOOOOOOOOO... he looks to trash the Jamaican man who just broke world records. Could this be the anger of a white racist judge? Could be. Could he just be an ASSHOLE?...Could be. Or is he just a white, racist, asshole who just exposed himself?..MORE THAN LIKELY. It is the olympics lets all enjoy watching it with intelligence and respect for the sports and athletes.

There are a few sprinters that are definitely cocky and it is a big turn off to their personality...but it doesn't reflect the rest of the track & field teams.

The one female US runner who competed in the hurdles (very cute by the way) was extremely graceful in defeat, even though she was winning before hitting the top of the hurdle.

if the olympic sports management teams take notice of this perceived lack of sportsmanship... I imagine they will do one of two things.  one being if they think it is good for ratings to see people talking shit as most consider the olympics fairly boring except for a few events, they probably won't do anything or even encourage that sort of behavior.  otherwise, if they feel it is hurting the integrity of the olympics or the perception of their country and its not going to thin their pockets... they will probably make athletes attend like a day workshop or something on how to react to wins or losses with tact, and not make the entire team look bad with their antics, win or lose.

Why is it that back in high school football we couldn't spike the ball on a touchdown because it was considered unsportsmanlike, yet these people can act like retards and gloat in front of a whole planatary audience?
