Titus & Ryan Sentenced!

August 22nd, 2008

The moment many have been waiting for has finally arrived. The associated press reports:

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Married professional bodybuilders Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan have been sentenced to prison in the slaying of their live-in assistant in December 2005.

The 43-year-old Titus was sentenced Friday to 21 to 55 years. He pleaded guilty May 30 to second-degree murder, kidnapping and arson in the slaying of 28-year-old Melissa James.

Ryan was sentenced to 6 to 26 years in prison. She pleaded guilty to arson and Nevada’s equivalent of no contest to battery with a deadly weapon.

James’ charred body was found in December 2005 in the trunk of Ryan’s burned-out Jaguar sedan in the desert outside Las Vegas.

It's unbelieveable that Kelly Ryan only got 6 years.  She's eligible for parole in like 2-3 years because of time already served, right?    That's just wrong.  Something just tells me that she snapped and killed that poor girl.
