My personal belief is that he should have gone with the guy from Virginia...key state, young and fresh on the national scene...reinforces Obama's outside, new JFK image...his choice of Biden only shows that he really feared the rumors about his foreign policy experience.  You should never act from fear.

Biden is a hawk in dove's clothing, a throwback to Clinton's "republican" presidency of the 1990s and certainly represents a shift from the more progressive stance that got Obama where he is with his fans.

So much for 'change' when you add a 35 year 'insider' senator to you image...

I wanted to believe that Obama had a chance.  I didn't necessarily want him to win, but I wanted him to be in the race...and to represent a true alternative for America. 

Now, he's no longer in the race, and he no longer represents anything other than what we've already got.

Oregon is safely in Obama's camp, but Indiana is most likely a lost cause.   

Obama needs Minnesota, so looks like he's got some shore up work to do there. 

Florida is going to McCain.  Obama needs to campaign there, but can forget about winning that state. 

The Carolinas will split, but only NC matters and Obama should win it. 

Obama has a chance to win Georgia.  He needs to work Georgia and Ohio as if his life depended on it. 

That said, I STRONGLY disagree with that chart showing Pennsylvania solidly for Obama.  It's been a few months since I passed through there, but I saw no indication that PA was in his back pocket. 

Also, even though Missouri only has 11 electoral votes, it's a damned shame that Obama is going to lose there.

I see some conspiracies out there from time-to-time, but there is clear and convincing evidence to support my theory that the right-wing power elite - which has puppeted George Bush the past 7+ years - endeavors to increase the economic gap between the wealthy and the middle class. 

All the recent evidence suggests that they are the ones who least support the notion of upward mobility being available to those who work the hardest.
