its quite possible... I am not sure if they still use the same dosages but when serostim first came out for wasting patients, they prescribed 18iu a day, a kit lasted 7 days. 

maybe he has some wasting disease he doesn't want people to know about, either way though.. that is still a ridiculous amount of money even if had through an anti aging clinic which I think would be hesitant to prescribe anywhere near that dose without a legitimate medical condition.
