PBW counts 17 men who have qualified and will be doing the show. That has to make Tim Fogarty happy. Of course, some riff raff might qualify at the Atlantic Pro

I think its in the promoter's best interest to keep the numbers limited..more call outs and fairer comparisons.

they have the last 3 years. that was my point. if you're good enough to get into they Olympia, the judges should take the time to rank everyone.

how many scrubs qualified at the ny pro? 3 or 5? personally i think only the top 2 of any show w/ exception of O and arnold should get the qualification

it's supposed to be the elite, no need to have the complete ifbb in it

There are over 200 athletes in the IFBB...

If over 20 guys qualify, then so be it....

You still need a SHOW to put out there for the paying fans, and the companies who put up a lot of money for the Expo, etc....

The Olympia needs to get more selective for the qualifying criteria. What's the point of having a 20-25 competitor line-up and only allowing 15 to perform their posing routine. Can you imagine qualifying for the biggest show in bodybuilding, getting one callout in pre-judging and then being told that you can't pose at the night show. It's disrespectful to these guys, who really have no business being there in the first place.

I liked it better when it was just Arnold, Sergio, Franco, Serge and Zane going for the Mr. O in 72...nowadays you get all these 2nd and 3rd tier guys wasting everyone's time with tinkle toe dancing or robot moves..they need to make it 1st place finishers only and last years top 5.

I don't disagree with you Chick, however who's to say that having the top 12-15 pros is not putting on a show for the fans?
Currently, with over 20+ athletes, with a good number with no chance of winning, how is it entertaining to the fans for a 16th - 20+
place competitors to take up stage time? If you say you want to reward those who qualified for the O by giving them stage time,
I understand that, but I'd say do it like the smaller shows like the NY Pro or Colorodo, where each one gets 30sec to 1 minute and get
on with the top 12-15.
I see no reason for a show to be more than 2hrs. More is not necessarily better.
