You hearing the story of Biden's wife and infact child being killed in an accident? His son is telling the story.

Biden didnt want to take the oath... he said "Delaware can get another senator, but my boys can't get another dad".

They panned the crowd. Michelle was wiping tears, then they showed two men with tears on their cheek. I realized I was biting my lip holding back too. poweful moment. Most of the convention has been mediocre so far, but Beau Biden's speech was something powerful. Damn...

I thought Joe Biden gave the weakest of the major speeches of this convention.

Watch: 'This is our time,' says Biden

He stumbled through many of the best lines, he didn't have a clear theme, and he didn't deliver any memorable phrases or ideas.

It was a beautiful picture at the end — with the young Barack Obama and the older Biden together with their families. Beau Biden, the senator's son, gave a better introduction than his father gave a speech.

So it's okay for mccain to CHOOSE to go to war, crash 5 jets, get preferential treatment to continue flying after dumping the first 4 planes, when normally you get grounded after losing 2 planes...

Bill is an amazing speaker, believable but also a lot of substance, not what we see from Obama. I think he was a pretty good president too. Some mistakes, but that was a good time for the U.S.

That was incredible. I had goosebumps as he hugged his son, Beau, and then talked about his mom's encouragement. That part of the speech was spectacular. I thought Bill Clinton knocked it out of the park last night too. It's interesting that they all have good things to say about John McCain, but are really focusing on the current administration.

I really don't think John McCain is that much like Bush historically. McCain has swung over to the conservative base for the nomination but likely will continue his historically middle of the road ways if elected.
The dems can criticize Bush but you can't apply all that to McCain. My biggest question is will McCain significantly cut spending? Its unpopular, but needed.
