A talking point is a standard line that someone uses when a particular issue comes up.  What we got here is simply a quote from Biden.  Nothing more.  Nothing less.

ugh. it's friday. Do we really have to get into specifics. From your standpoint, "talking points" you use are stictly political. and it's lame. We all know what the undertone is.

???

Maybe he did like the quote....here is another one to try

And on a personal level, Biden last summer called McCain “one of my heroes,” according to the Congressional Record.

“I consider him my friend,” Biden said. “I believe if neither he nor I were senators and I picked up a phone and called him and said, 'I need you to show up at such-and-such a place, I can't tell you why,' he would be there.”

Biden on Obama
August 24, 2008

While competing with Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination, Senator Joe Biden had some less-than-glowing comments:

Feb. 2007 on Obama's appeal: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean that's a storybook, man."

Aug. 2007 on Obama's experience: "I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."

Aug. 2007 on Obama's threat to go into Pakistan after Al Qaeda: "The way to deal with it is not to announce it, it's to do it. . . . The last thing you want to do is telegraph to the folks in Pakistan that we're about to violate . . . their sovereignty."

Aug. 2007 on Obama's pledge to meet with leaders of rogue nations: "Would I make a blanket commitment to meet unconditionally with the leaders of each of those countries within the first year I was president? Absolutely, positively no."

Sept. 2007 on Obama's Iraq plan: "My impression is he thinks that if we leave, somehow the Iraqis are going to have an epiphany. I've seen zero evidence of that."

Oh, there aren't any?  I think she said something about "not following the war too closely", didn't she?

She does have an opinion on the Iraq war...it just flies in the face of the republican spin:

"We are a nation at war and in many (ways) the reasons for war are fights over energy sources, which is nonsensical when you consider that domestically we have the supplies ready to go."

We attacked Iraq to defend ourselves.  Oil had nothing to do with it.

"I'm a mom, and my son is going to get deployed in September, and we better have a real clear plan for this war. And it better not have to do with oil and dependence on foreign energy."

Obviously this quote predates the above one.

"I've been so focused on state government, I haven't really focused much on the war in Iraq."

I guess that's the icing on the cake.  I suppose she doesn't have an opinion after all.
