COLLEGIATE NATIONALS OR BUST!!!

I couldn't find the training logs so i guess the mods can move this thread to the appropriate board. I’m going to keep a fairly detailed log this year of my progress but I’ll probably only be posting pics once every 6 months or so or whenever i see obvious improvement. I guess I might as well cover this from the beginning and try to cover 3 years of history in one post. I started training when i graduated from high school and went from 140 to 220 in my freshman year of college. Then I met Adonis and a bodybuilder at the university gym who took me under there wing and convinced me to cut all the way down. By the end of it all I was 155 skinny fat. I did my first show in 07 and came in at 146 as a light weight and placed 2nd. This year, even though I wasn't as lean as i should have been, I was 20 pounds heavier at weigh ins and placed 2nd in novice middle weight out of a class of about 12 people and then i placed 5th in open in a class of similar size. Chad hasn't posted the score card on mayhem yet but I will post it here whenever he gets around to it. Next year I hope to be a light heavy and I will try to get up to 190-210 this offseason. These are the progress pics from the past 3 years and some from today. I will keep a rough update of my lifts and diet in this thread. I plan to eat around 4000 calories every day and I want to try to stay fairly lean this offseason. Last year I didn’t put much effort into my offseason and I think it was kind of a mistake because I spent about 8 of my 12 dieting weeks trying to put on as much size as possible. I crammed in too much in too short of a period of time.  I was clearly leaner on stage last year. This year I would like to attempt collegiate nationals since it is my last year of college. Hopefully I can get all the funds necessary to give it a try. It would help me get my face out there. Anyway here are the pictures. The first 2 are from my first 2 years of lifting and the last 2 are show comparisons.

These pics were taken today. I think its a fairly good improvement over my previous 180 from june. I look a little harder and more filled out. I still have some tanner that hasn't washed off yet. I now weigh anywhere from 182-188.

Right now my lifts are just getting back to where i was prior to the show. The last pic of my in the blue was me at 8 weeks out this year at 181. I think i am alot harder and leaner now then i was then. That would only 10 weeks ago.

Right now my lifts are as follows:

Bench: 270 x 4 (Could have done more but my tendons were still dry)

Incline Bench: 240 x 6

Decline ": 250 x 6

Front Squat: 275 x 5

BB Rows: 260 x 6

Those are just a few... haven't really gotten around to the rest. I will update this whenever significant progress is made. It's just here as a record. Whenever the DVD of the show comes in i might post my clips and additional pictures.

One more random pic from the show. I will try to get better ones soon. Right now im trying to lift twice a day if i have time but im pretty busy this year. Im working 15 hours a week and taking 15 hours of classes. I get up at 5 am every day to lift and eat. By the time 12 rolls around im ready to fall asleep.

Leafy, the collegiates will be perfect for you.

I wanted to do em in college....won the Collegiate Illinois in College and that is where I stopped.

Good progress so far.  But seriously get some tamoxifen for that gyno before it gets out of control.

I have had it since i was 13. Getbigs eagerness to cry drugs is humerous. I had it when i was 146 lbs. It goes away to an extent when i diet down lean but the lump is still there. It can get pretty bad in the offseason when i start to add fat.

Its about the worst kept secret on the boards that he has been on 400mg of test a week for a long while.

Is it an actual lump or just puffiness? I have puffiness but no lump.

Looks alot worse then pubertal gyno though, But whatever you say I dont know for sure =)

I think i might be at my best as a 198 lbs light heavy at 3% but thats a good 2-4 years off.
