Actually, he was 268 at the Houston Show that year that was a few weeks prior to the NOC. He was 264 for the NOC.

Also, his best ever condition was the '96 Olympia shown here (though I thought his fullness at the '97 Arnold was ridiculous):

Does anyone have any back shots of him around '95 or so. I think I remember him having more detail in his back at the lighter bodyweight.  He was one of the all time greats no doubt, but I think he has diminished himself somewhat with his recent interviews where he slanders and humiliates many of his fellow competitors. He comes off kind of bitter but i must admit..it was some of the more entertaining things in bodybuilding I've read lately. Most of the sport has gotten so boring and some of his stuff is amusing, like 'The Kovaks Monster", Palumbo-'The Acromegalion",DCM "Delusional Clown Milos"...funny stuff.

wrong-

when Ronnie showed up in bad shape the judges marked him down and actually had him lose (to Gunter).

when dorian showed up in bad shape the judges were out to lunch and scored him perfect without giving a crap what he looked like ::).

big difference.

the judging was fucked in the 90's - didn't matter what the champion looked like - and the sport lost fans as a result.

during the 2000's and beyond - things were much more realistic.

I wish Nasser retired earlier than he did.  By 2002-2004 he really started looking ridiculous. synthol, scarring, and smooth.

If he retired in 2000 he would be better remembered IMO.

the 1999 Mr Olympia was supposed to be a big match up between Nasser and Ronnie.

Ronnie won the 1998 Olympia and then Nasser won the 1999 Arnold.

Both were huge and in their prime.

But Nasser dissapointed.
