I want a government that teaches my children how to put a condom on a banana and teaches them that controversial and private sexual lifestyles are okay.

I want a government that executes it's own citizens and kills it unborn babies but claims life is sacred.

I want a government that spends more money than it has for government programs then borrows money from China when it needs more.

I want a government that tells me I can't smoke medicinal marijuana because it's dangerous and unhealthy and a gateway drug but let's me damage my liver with alcohol.

I want a government that has a busy body foreign policy and sacrifices the lives of the men and women of our armed forces so we can play Team America (Fuck Yeah!) World Police and protect our claim to oil.

I want a government that is a puppet of a central bank made up of investors that are not elected by the people of America.

I want a government that .... meh I'll be here all day.

I heard a city councellor on the radio today say that he wants to "fat" tax hotdogs and hamburgers, so that it can teach people that eat these things that the food is unhealthy. He thinks that putting a 2 cent tax on hot dogs is going to deter people from eating these nasty foods.  Just call it a money grab, at least be honest.  I'm so pissed off, I'm gonna lose it.

The left lost it's claim of defender of civil liberties a long time ago.

How can they argue that they are against government involvement in our lives when they pull crap like that? Whut? If they get their way with universal health are they have to foot the bill for fat fuckers that have no self control and trash their bodies? Oh noez!

That's what we do actually. We have "sin tax". Beer, cigarettes, cigars, junk food, and luxury stuff like top of the line BMW's etc - are taxed profusely. But no income, sales, capital gains or small business tax so it works. Tiny place, so can't work most places, but great unless you're into the things that are taxed - then it's deadly for you - they are like say 4/5 times the price of USA.

Great idea. Not on hot dogs or hamburgers specifically tho, more a sweeping tax with unhealthy products with a certain level of bad fat.

We're hit with over 200 types of taxes already, we don't need anymore. It's not the government's job to decide what people are allowed to eat by trying to manipulate their eating habits through taxation. They don't care about our health, it's nickel and diming. It doesnt deter people either.

Well yes, either one is a valid option. But can you really see any government letting them get fat and die? Governments are always in favour of throwing money at a problem rather than using common sense.

Isnt it amazing how well a problem can be solved when people are forced to take responsilbilty for their actions?
How about teaching proper nutrition for a longer period than grade 1 and stop selling crap foods in schools? Cost= $0

Bigger gov is a big mistake.  There is such waste, I can't believe people don't understand how much wasted $, time, effort, and programs there are at a federal level.  Federal gov should only handle the things the state & local govs cannot and then oversee state concerns.  Too much to type but the federal gov gets too much into our personal business.  Fed gov needs to enforce our constitution, protect us and collect taxes for Necessary programs.

A Smaller federal gov that works for the people, protects our people and allows power to the state & local governments.
