He was hard as nails, in the upper body anyway.
Interesting part of the video is when Dr. Gideon Ariel was working on Franco with one of his machines-which he had built during the mid/late 80's.
Ariel was a world class Kinesiologist/Biomechanist at UC Irvine. My school had two world class kinesiologists, like Ariel, but Ariel had developed the machines in this video and it brought him world wide attention-now the good stuff, he was somehow invloved in some sort of fraud/ponzi scheme related to these machines and all hell broke loose.
Many lawsuits and criminal investigations followed-cannot recall what happened.
