Typical Republican censorship.

I wonder if that guy with the tattoos was another brave American that had the balls to stand up for what is wrong in America?  He was shown twice in the beginning with what looked like a banner.

HA HA!!

As long as it's an environmentally friendly toothpaste that doesn't leave a carbon footprint and the bristles on the brush are made from hemp.  And only recycled bath water may be used to rinse- that is when she takes one!

I can't believe they let that go on for that long actually, a billy club to the head and just drag her out would have been much more sufficient rather than letting her keep breathing pure Republican oxygen.

Wait, the lady just was saying something and they responded like that? :o  Why would they even be close enough to hear her talking?  Or was she making threats or something?

The only thing I watched from the Repub convention was Palin's speech.

What is the deal w/this lady in the picture?

Is the RNC a public or a private event?

If it's private, then they did the right thing... If it's public, then she has every right to be heard.

Did public money provide the event or not?

They still have to pull permits.

OK I looked up Code Pink... "CODEPINK (www.codepink4peace.org) emerged out of a desperate desire by a group of American women to stop the Bush administration from invading Iraq. "

I learn so much on getbig  :)

"While Bush's color-coded alerts are based on fear and are used to justify violence, the CODEPINK alert is a feisty call for women and men to "wage peace.""

"Because of our responsibility to the next generation, because of our own love for our families and communities, it is time we women devote ourselves — wholeheartedly — to the business of making peace."

So she was yelling then?

Maybe so, but I still think it:

1. Matters.
2. Is their right.

They still have to pull permits.

Public functions always have to pull permits... nothing new there.

Was it rude? Sure... Would I do it? Of course not... I wouldn't protest in that venue, but I do still feel it is the right of the people to do so.

I'm quite sure there are limitations and boundaries they can't cross and since there are dignitaries, they wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the doors of that convention.

it is their right to peaceful protest, this was not peaceful...this was meant to stir up just this kind of reaction so that ppl like you and them could look at this and cry foul

These folks were given a certain time and place to march and do their protest. It certainly wasn’t inside the building, during McCain’s speech.

When are these goofballs going to learn that screwball behavior like this doesn’t help their cause one bit? These groups did the same foolishness in 2004. All they have to show for it are criminal records, some lumps upside their heads, and less money. To top it all off, Bush got re-elected, anyway.
