« on: September 05, 2008, 04:05:16 AM »
"UFC recently inked light heavyweight Houston Alexander to a new five-fight contract extension, locking-in the services of the hard-hitting Nebraskan slugger well into 2009"

pretty good deal for houston coming off 2 losses, i guess he must be pretty popular with the fans

I like him as well.  He goes out there to brawl.  When he makes the transition that Forrest made and decides he really wants to win fights, he will be great.  Too bad he is getting into the game so late.  I'd like to see a rematch with Irvin as well.  Anyone can get caught.

He must have either insider info and holding Zuffa up for the contract he just got or hes sucking some serious penis in there. Though I know he likes to go out there and take it to fighters there are plenty of others who would do the same thing also.

In closing that 5 fight deal is a fucking gift.

Nah, smart move for Zuffa.  He likes to and wants to fight.  And his fights are always good.  They probably structured it with mediocre salary per fight with higher end win bonus potential and a restructure clause if he fights for or wins the title.

Houston vs Griffin   :D

That fight will never happen for a belt, houston has ZERO ground game... He will be  a early fight for the rest of his life.. That division is way to stacked for a guy with ZERO ground game!

Exactly, I couldnt agree with you more.  Which, if the UFC scrtuctured the contract that way, makes it a smart move.
