This is a correct statement... but we already know this... It came out a week ago.

People have already made up their minds anyway.

She approached a librarian on how to get specific books banned... It is what it is.

These fkn democrats are working overtime trying to slander a war hero and his beautiful, smart, qualified running mate. Stories like these should have links attached or at the very least be given as opinions and not facts!

Must have been books children shouldn't be reading. In Sarah I trust.

All this media slander is going to backfire big time.

Here's the quote from Time.

Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor.

It was a library, so I doubt this would be an issue with someone checking out a book who was underage.

I trust none of them.

This I agree with... The more they keep harping on some of these types of things, the more people forget about real issues.

Plus, the general public will see her as this "poor woman who's getting picked on by all the men."

I agree. No way a war hero and the most qualified VP in recent history loses to a black dude named Hussein. No way at all.

You're serious about this statement danielson?

I don't see that at all... I think GHWB was way more qualified as was former senator Al Gore... Now Cheney, I agree she's got him beat by a country mile, but i disagree with the basis of this statement.

I don't think she's more qualified than Biden either.

No, government censorship of public access to books is a basic issue. It demonstrates the small mind intolerant religious bent of this candidate.

Since my girl Sarah joined McCain on the ticket, attacking her is attacking him imo.

I can see that to an extent.

I certainly won't say anything really bad about McCain... If he would look me in the eye and tell me that he would change a few things that Bush has done over the past years... Mainly, cut spending (because that's where the real problem lies with our budget) and try to get out of Iraq, I'd vote for the guy in a heart beat.

(I'd like for him to say I WILL GET Osama Bin Laden too...  >:( )
The worst part is that the only people who have said that so far, are Bob Barr and Obama.

I really like Bob Barr.

What were books I wonder, "Huckleberry Finn" and "Tom Sawyer"?

Can you point me to that quote? I need to read it or hear it.

Bush said something like that once, then he was on an Aircraft Carrier with a Mission Accomplished banner and no Bin Laden to be found.

He said it a few weeks ago where he and Obama were questioned about "Evil"
