Oh yes...after all, what chance has a white male ever had in this country...everywhere you look, black women populate all the power slots.  Do you really believe what you write?

White males are discriminated against by employers looking not be sued for not hiring blacks, colleges, police departments etc..  You can be Black and Ms. America and you can be Black Ms. America.  In fact, if you hire a Black woman you get to say you have 2 minorities working for you when the Race statistics get brought out to show a corporation isn't racist or sexist.

You can be a black a woman and be in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, you can also be in Ebony, Jet, or 20 other BLACK only magazines.  You can get scholarships for education and then you can get the NAACP scholarship, not given to non-Blacks.

Go play the "poor Black people" card in Africa, that shit stopped working to the educated in America a long time ago.  Study up and read what I said..I SAID "BLACK FEMALES HAVE MORE OPPORTUNITY " ...whether or not they capitalize on it, is up to them.

That was really bullshit what happened to Amy Goodman.  She didn't even cross the line.  She went up there and asked to talk to someone in charge about members of the press being held.  The video shows no hostility on her part.

pathetic...

I bet you wouldn't swap the color of your skin for all these "advantages" - and there in lies the true measure in being black.

I BET NOT ONE SINGLE BLACK WOMAN WOULD SWAP SKIN COLOR FOR ALL THE "DISADVANTAGES - AND THEREIN LIES THE TRUE MEASURE IN BEING IGNORANT.

WISE UP SIR!

YOU MADE NO POINT.

You are truly deluded if you think black people face no discrimination - I just have to read getbig to know there is still a lot of racism out there. And I do think you are wrong - some of them probably would swap their skin color - Michael Jackson (although not a woman) comes to mind.

Discrimination and stereotypes exist for a reason.

People have an unfavorible opinion of blacks because the gross majority of them that the average person comes across act like f*in jungle-ape retards. People are scared of blacks, due to the fact that most of them are ignorant to the extreme, loud, disrespectful, unpredictible, violent and have the linguistic skills of a 2nd grader.

Now before anyone jumps my $hit here, i'll flat out conceide that there are many, many of them that totally act and function 180 degrees opposite this statement.  Colin Powell, Bill Cosby and yes, Mr. Obama are all intelligent, valuable people in society. For every one of them the public sees however, there are 100 snoop dogs, P Diddys, Carmelo Anthonys and Terrel Owens.

Society is so big nowdays that everything gets broken down to averages.

I don't give a damn what color someone is. Good people are good people. But the fact that the government STILL has to cheat, in 2008, to even the playing field should speak volumes.  Quality people will succeed no matter what their color.

LMAO, are you an idiot?  Where did I EVER say Black people face no discrimination?  Point it out...!  You can't climb back into your hole.

Vanilla Ice & Eminem would trade skin color along with about million's of other suburban White kids.

Give up the race card man!

I know many Black's want to blame race for their failures, because not doing so, would mean they have to take responsibility for their failures.

Racism works in all ways not just one, some of the most racist people I have ever met where Black.

Racism exists, it is no excuse for failing.

I am saying enough excuses.  I have been passed up for promotions in the past, I was unable to buy two homes even though I had 20% to put down, I am saying that I wasn't hired for certain jobs, and I still have succeeded and done very well for myself (imo).  I could of used the excuse I was <fill-in-the-blank>, instead I just kept moving on and trying harder.

Now I agree that a lot of blacks don't take utilize the advantages available to them, but why blame minorities for your incompetence stated above?

I am part of the only race where you are a card carrying member lol. Just over Half Quinault and Chinook Indian (or native american as white people call us). Our rez is  a perfect example of wasted opportunity. Many people expect things to get handed to them and often do get them. Free college, but 90% of the kids that take advantage of it live off reservation. Special privleges and handicapping a people only make it more difficult for them to succeed because the bar is lowered.

Kings dream was that there would be no color.... What would think today with BET. etc. and the vicimization platform that leaders like sharpton and jackson have clung to.

Also I will give you that if Sarah Palin was Shawn Palin (male) she would have never been chosen either.

Have Americans become so enamored with sex and race that we put more emphasis on it then actual experience and a record?

My answer is:  Proof is in the pudding...YES!

Yours is a silly observation.  Going backward would Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, or Nixon stood a chance of being President of any of them had been black?  No.  They all benefitted from white cultural capital and white privilege.  Americans have indeed long been enamored with race, but they only see "race" (and gender for that matter) when they want to see it.

Maybe you should ask a black woman how she feels about it.

And anyone that voted for Bush has no business barking about a candidate's credentials.

But for the name of Bush, GW would've been selling shoes in Decatur Illinois.

I like that Obama has an understanding of how the country runs and has Ideas he would implement.
I don't agree with all of them, but that is the same with most people.
Sarah Palin comes off as a dimwit.  The buzzwords for her debate on Thursday are "low expectations".
I would have gladly voted for Hilary.

I don't think Mccain is going live thru a first term.  During the debates as he rambled some of his responses I kept replying in my head "okay grandpa"  While patting his hand.

Nah, I don't give a fuck how a black woman feels about it.  Black females have more opportunity in this country than anyone else.

My question was rhetorical and I gave my answer.

You obviously don't know what it is to be a black woman in this country.
More opportunities than anyone else.....

Sandra

Tell me how I have more opportunities than Jane Doe, John Doe, black or white.
You are not the only person who wasn't given a mortgage, not hired for a job, etc.

How many times do you walk around a store and have security follow you?
Where is my opportunity to browse without someone thinking that I may steal something?

First of all, I don't advocate Black woman being singled out because they are Black.  If you feel like someone is following you around the store I suggest you ask them if they have a problem and ask for the store manager and discuss your situation.  There may be other reasons for them following you, have you ever asked?

I also posted exactly how it is Black woman (to include minority woman) have more opportunities than anyone else, read above.

I own several homes today and feel like the people who didn't allow me to buy a home simply lost my money and I ended up better for it.  I didn't let those people stop me.

I suggest you do the same.

Oh, I didn't realize you were talking about the black model and beauty contest winner crowd.  Of course.  It's all so simple now.  I mean they have their Bill Cosby (who didn't win a beauty contest) and Tyra Banks (I think she did) so it's all square.
