This technique is called a Trigger. Many fighters use them. We just generally don't know what they are.
The nipples are sensitive areas and in some individuals twisting them releases certain catecholamines. The three majors are Epinephrine, Norepinephrine and Cortisol.
The body has hundreds if not thousands of pressure points. Each individual has a different response to pressure point stimulation. Some elicit a negative feedback response to induce a fight or flight response. I believe that Rashad and GSP were doing nothing more than using a technique for getting focused and ready to fight.
