What if lifting weights were illegal?

Some jails dont allow inmates to lift weights.

But whatabout the future inmates? Maybe they will ban lifting weights to stop it from the beginning...  :-\

In sweden they have decided to cut the weight stacks in half to prevent the inmates from getting bigger while serving time  ;D

In prisons, the only equipment available should be treadmills, and you had to run an hour a day.. I doubt there would be any trouble if all the inmates eventually were built like marathon runners.

its true, and I dont agree with the policy.

the argument is they are bigger and stronger and harder to deal with..., but I mean come on they have batons, shields, pepper spray, tasers at their disposal,  I think they have things covered.

lifting weights allows people to release pent up energy or aggression, is good for your health, helps pass the time, and  they exhaust themselves in the process, therefore making for a more subdued inmate, you can also use access to weights as a privilege to gain more leverage over the inmate, so if they are acting up, they dont get to lift etc....

just my opinion

I read in Flex a couple of years ago that when Alex Fedorv was a kid in Russia it was illegal and his dad had to go to a secret place
