my gym is across the street from one of those offices were people get their food stamps. i see bmw's and rovers all the time park down the street then walk in to get their free groceries. the more we give to these social programs the more people take advantage of it.

I have a sister with MS who can get very little govt assistance, even though she legitimately needs it.

I have an in-law who had a heart attack 20 years ago, running a business making 100k, while sitll collecting his social security check every month.  fucced up system.

Let's give the money to the sheiks and their relatives instead.  That way we can send it all abroad and hey, maybe they can even use a large portion of it to undermine US.

Yay, Republicans!

Fucktards.

She gets some med help, but she has a daughter, an AWOL babydaddy who won't pay support, etc.
I don't think it's the duty of the system to pay her anything, but it'd be nice if they did... especially with so many dirtbags out there working under the table while collecting social security.  Those people irritate me bigtime.  So many of them in Florida.  "So, what do you do?  Nothing, I'm on social security!" as they're working office work, at an auto lot, at a bar, etc.  They don't pay taxes, and they don't seserve the monthly check.

Wouldn't you rather we took all the money that the Beemer driving welfare thieves are collecting and sent it to fund a nice madarassa in Palestine or Afghanistan, like the DoD/Republican admin would like us to do has us doing?

Just to make an objective comment:  The income tax was created to make paying government taxes equally painful for everyone.  Taking large sums from high income earners is meant to make them feel the way low income earners feel.  That is the purpose.  Luckily I don't have to make a normative judgment on the issue.  Just stating historical fact.
