It has come to my attention that there have been false accusations regarding  denied press passes for the MD crew. The fact is, this was never an issue, and press passes were never denied.

Not only were they never denied, but they were even granted AFTER Steve Blechman (or any other rep from MD) failed to put the request in for them before the deadline...

The request for press passes came on Sept. 5th...21 days past the deadline.

Steve then requested (2) press passes.

Robin Chang even replied, asking if two was enough, or if he needed more...

If there is an apology to be made...it's from Steve Blechman, who should set the record straight with the facts.


BTW...this isn't a AMI thing, a Weider thing, or even a IFBB thing...it's a simple procedure and deadline thing from the promoter, which every other magazine, publisher, and photographer submitted on time....except MD.

sounds like typical Romano/Palumbo stirring the pot bullshit, they're such "mavericks and rebels" over at MD. ::)

Yeah...unfortunately...r ebels without a cause. Perhaps they should check with their boss before spouting off next time, making themselves look foolish is all that was accomplished when the error was on Blechmans side, not Robin's.

i actually agree on this, that magazine has been going WAY downhill for years and gets worse every issue, re hashed training features, same old bullshit "pro columns" and 350 pages of ads. ::)

Open letter to Bob Thick. Muscle Mag owners, editors and photographers should be sent press passes and complimentary tickets to the big shows. They shouldn't have deadlines or have to beg for passes.

Yes they should... or else it's anarchy... If filling out a couple of forms ON TIME is too much effort for the people in question, then maybe they need to figure out a better way to manage their time or perhaps just get out of the business.

Im done with MD.Their absolute disregard for the peers within the industry is highly annoying

Romanos 1 argument when asked about the AMI vs Weider was ; "THEY STARTED IT , MAN".Ya , well john , youve thrown fuel to the fire every single month in and month out

I dont mind reading from the pros they have contracted.But it seems like THAT IS ALL that their magazine is based upon : 10 000 pros answring question in their `columns` 6 pages looong and some interviews piece with , you guessed it ...some pro and a head2head training session with two ....(take a wild guess)

MD`s whole competition with other mags ,lies in one strategy , ie .TALK SHIT ABOUT YOU OPPOSITION...thats it

They are a verry hard bunch to respect

Im a Wolf fan , and would like to see him as Mr O...guess why he wont be Mr O  john ? Because you burn bridges wherever you go.Thats why you suggested dropping athletes magazine contracts didnt you  , cos you knowww all the bullshit youve created is gonna cause athletes like Dennis their just due...
