23 minutes in hell-the book
« on: September 10, 2008, 05:47:29 PM »
Hello everyone
Yesterday I read the book 23 Minutes in Hell
The book was very graphic describing the authors time in Hell but I also found the explanation of why Jesus let him experience Hell for the brief period very interesting.

Did any of you guys read this book ever? Your opinions?
Thanks

man i tell ya, that book freaked me out-when he talks about being in the cell naked with the deamons ripping him apart-and then when jesus appears in the white light and the deamons are powerless...i want to buy it tommorow and read it more...
calmus-do u believe the book is true? were u a believer in hell before u read this

from other books ive read about death they talk about our souls reviewing our lives and selecting new lives almost similar to the movie defending your life...

Way for the author to make a quick buck.

Luke 16:27-31 (New International Version)

27"He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'

29"Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'

30" 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'

31"He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

Abraham was full of shit. They only had Moses and the prophets in books. Much more convincing to see people who have come back from hell. Trust me, I know. I read the book.

Hey calmus!  What exactly did the book convince you of?  What would you tell people if they asked you how to avoid that place when they die?

Well, first of all, it convinced me that dying is a very bad idea.  Second, if you must do it (die), it's best to repent as you near the light at the end of the tunnel.  That way you don't go down.

Hard to believe? It's simply not true, however probably a sobering read.

If anything, he was dreaming. You're either dead or you're not...

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still can't believe that shit has been printed out...

the most likely version is this shmoe got busted while on meth and the two large "beasts" he saw were in fact named "Tito" and "Ramone" and they looked 13ft tall b/c he was kneeling before them and feeding from their taps.

Same thing as those who write books about being abducted by aliens.  All made up garbage to make money off those who are willing to give it.

How many books are there describing long periods in heavan?

They probably would be boring as shit after the first ten or fifteen pages.
