Obama held his own with O'reilly, he actually corrected Bill several times...
yeah, i thought the that interview went ok for obama too. the one thing i have to agree with bill on is how obama was wrong on the surge. of course obama can't say he was wrong about such a foreign policy decision.
the palin interview was hard to watch. kind of reminded me of that south carolina beauty contestant fumbling her answer. of course the full interview is on tonight, so let's see what else she has to say.
about the bush doctrine. look, i never knew that it had an official title, so i clearly would have been stumped with the question. but i do think that ANY vp candidate should know what it is. her foreign policy credentials are summed up as "russia is our neighbor." i cant believe people think she is a heartbeat away from being president.
palin repeating the same lines was to be expected. i think after this interview, they are going to limit the media access to her, and hope they can ride out the next 50-ish days on their current wave. their idea is to make this a campaign of attack ads, which the media loves, thus keeping the focus off palin and the economy. with hurricane ike, that will buy the mccain camp more time to shield palin, and prepare her for her next interview with someone on fox.
