nobody said bodybuilding was about health...
why be a hater? its not very fufilling to just hate

Although, I do have a question. What does a man attempt to portray when they get an earring/s?

True.  But it's a nice way to distract yourself from your own insecurities.  Just as Harley Buckshot.  :'(

So, my commenting on a drug addict reveals I am insecure about myself? Care to elaborate?

Anti-bodybuilding talk has always existed on getbig all you need to do is look at goatboy and gordiano's posts. This trend you are noticing is only because of the return of hank wood who is known for his anti-bodybuilding posts and threads. I do believe the reason anti-bodybuilding talk is so prevalent is because of the nature of bodybuilding itself.

Bodybuilders feel threatened by those who are stronger, leaner and bigger than them. This "threatened" feeling arises from the potential for the other bodybuilder to take it more seriously then them i.e. works harder at it. There is an insecurity at the heart of bodybuilding but there is also an empowering aspect of it. The empowerment arises from the idea that YOU yes YOU can change the way you look given you work hard enough at your goals. So by seeing somebody who is stronger, leaner and bigger than you it suggests he is far greater and determined than you.

So what we have in the case of professional bodybuilding is people who are light years ahead of the average bodybuilder thus creating a bitter individual. These feelings then turn into hatred and the individual begins to despise those who are stronger, leaner and bigger. The individual then progresses to creating defensive mechanisms to address the feelings of internal inadequacy. These defensive mechanisms usually are as follows, however are not limited to;

  • "All drugs"
  • Just some homoerotic activity(see gordiano)
  • Who cares if they have muscle its useless
  • its not a sport(an attempt to downplay the pursuit)

Hope this helps.
Trey attracts a lot more hate than other bodybuilders because he is so young so he intensifies these feelings of inadequecy.

Yes, he attracts attention due to his age. But, its not a "good" attention like whoa wow thats awesome physique. Its holy shit that guy will be dead by 30. When you are 22 and look 35, thats not good... get it?

As for feeling inadequate, what would I possibly feel like that for?

My blood work doesnt read off the chart levels each time i test.
I can run 15 feet without being out of breath
I wont have the test level of a 9 yr old girl when i come off cycles
Each time I speak it doesnt sound like i have a mouthful of marbles in my mouth
And my organs arent fried before i hit 25.

Yes, im so jealous of this fountain of intelligence/muscle we call "trey"

No, you just dont hear about the "top" IFBB pros dying. There are more than 20 hardcore steroid abusers in the world u know? What about each regular gym rat across america who injected one too many times?

but i have worked out in gyms for a long time, and not heard of many getting sick, i mean its really not happening at the level everyone thinks it is...

having low Test is probably very common, but all the enlarged heart stuff is a myth.

If you didn't feel threatened by it then why did  feel compulsed to comment negatively on the the picture?
You clearly have stated why you wouldn't want to go down his path and provide a personal rationale for it. Anthony Robbins often comments during his seminars that humans are very good at justifying laziness and inaction e.g. I don't have time for it. I actually think you have a fear of failure that if you went down his path that you end up looking no where near that.

I mean after all its not like the hundreds and thousands of steroid users out there are dropping like flies are they. Hell even the pros of the 2000s are doing ok health wise. Keep in mind I am not referring to diuretic use here... i.e. kidneys

the problem with Trey is that I am worried that he doesnt have any one around him that is bringing him down to earth...he is surrounded by Yes men and profiteers who are using his freakiness to make money...He seems very innnocent and naive...I hope the adults in his life are giving him proper guidance and ensuring he has a long profitable career rather than using him to make a quick buck.

agreed but we are in a new chapter now...With so many liquid chems and homemade shit, its really a crap shoot...And the amounts now are basically doubled or tripled even at the state level...Something for sure is going to give...These fools may not drop dead on stage like has happend in the past, but there health is for sure in jeopardy for the future...
