Alaska Women Reject Palin Rally

One can assume that these women have known of Palin for more than the ~ 2 weeks that the rest of the country has known her.

I find it newsworthy that 1400 Alaskan women showed up to show their disapproval of Palin given the popular narrative that Gyno-American's (and especially those in Alaska) are supposed to be rallying behind her.

Most of us have only known about Palin for two weeks while these women have known about her for years which kind of makes their opinion relevent.  If nothing else it shows that there is plenty of dissent, even in her own state and among women.

Governors usually have a pretty high approval rating.

Florida's governor Charlie Crist is at 73%.
He's a gay man, he's very far right/republican, and our state economy sucks. 

Foreclosures are insanely high, construction market down 25%, and tourism is very poor.  yet 3 out of 4 folks here still love him.

Considering Palin is female and HOT, I don't see her being 13 points higher than palin to be that big of a deal.
