She's a mccain spokeswoman, on the networks frequently for him, and was on his 'shirt-ish' list for VP due to her being a woman, and being very good with economy and running large entities.

She admitted in a radio interview this AM that Palin wasn't qualified to run a major company like HP.

She immediately went on MSNBC and other networks to try to explain the situation.  It only got worse.  Youtube soon, i'm sure.

pretty much everyone besides the most stubborn republican fanboys are admitting as much now. haha they would have stood behind a chimpanzee had McCain selected one as a running mate, if it was trained to fire weapons.

Yet another non-story with a liberal spin.

Fiorina: Palin not qualified to run company
Posted: 03:19 PM ET

From CNN Political Producer Peter Hamby

Carly Fiorina spoke at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul.
WARREN, Ohio (CNN) – Carly Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO turned John McCain Victory chair, said Tuesday that Sarah Palin isn’t qualified to run her old company.

Appearing on a KTRS Radio show in St. Louis, Fiorina was asked by the host, “Do you think she has the experience to run a major company like Hewlett Packard?”

“No, I don’t,” Fiorina answered. “But that’s not what she’s running for. Running a corporation is a different set of things."

"I would just remind you that it is Barack Obama who is running for president," she continued. "John McCain who is running for president.”

Fiorina contended that while Palin may not be up the task of running a multi-billion dollar IT company, she does have more relevant governing experience than Obama does.

“I find it quite stunning actually that the Barack Obama campaign is questioning Sarah Palin's experience,” Fiorina said. “She’s got more executive experience than he does and she is the vice presidential nominee, Barack Obama is the presidential nominee.”

UPDATE: Asked about the comment during an MSNBC interview, Fiorina replied: “Well, I don't think John McCain could run a major corporation, I don't think Barack Obama could run a major corporation, I don't think Joe Biden could run a major corporation.

"But, on the other hand, a major corporation is not the same as being the president or the vice president of the United States. It is a fallacy to suggest that the country is like a company. So, of course, to run a business, you have to have a lifetime of experience in business, but that's not what Sarah Palin, John McCain, Joe Biden, or Barack Obama are doing."

The response that was immediately circulated by Obama's campaign.

“If John McCain’s top economic advisor doesn’t think he can run a corporation, how on Earth can he run the largest economy in the world in the midst of a financial crisis?" said Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor. "Apparently even the people who run his campaign agree that the economy is an issue John McCain doesn’t understand as well as he should."

Actually, Carly was qualified.  She just did a terrible job, ran the company into the ground, and got herself fired!  Virtually, everyone agrees Mark Herd (HP's current CEO) is doing a great job.

Thanks for explaining how sometimes the most "qualified" person is often the person not fit for the job. Yes I agree on Herd.

You mean the part-time job in which he voted "present" about 130 times?

McCain reportedly ‘furious’ with Fiorina-“Carly will now disappear,”
Advertisements [?]McCain reportedly ‘furious’ with Fiorina, campaign adviser says she will ‘disappear’ from TV.

Today, McCain economic adviser Carly Fiorina bluntly stated that neither John McCain nor Sarah Palin were capable of running a major corporation (she said the same of Barack Obama and Joseph Biden). A top campaign adviser said Fiorina will be punished for her candid sentiments:

“Carly will now disappear,” this source said. “Senator McCain was furious.” Asked to define “disappear,” this source said, adding that she would be off TV for a while – but remain at the Republican National Committee and keep her role as head of the party’s joint fundraising committee with the McCain campaign.

Fiorina was booked for several TV interviews over the next few days, including one on CNN. Those interviews have been canceled.
