No insult intended with this comment Leafy so please don't be insulted, but I'm really not the one to ask.  I am not attracted to men with boyish looks.  I've always been attracted to men with very masculine looks.  Even when I was in my late teens, early 20's.  But, if I were to guess...maybe it's because it makes them (the women) feel younger?

Here is how the story goes. I was in the check out line at wal-mart when i was the packages jack's link beef jerky on the shelf. I went to grab a few packages and i put them in my cart and propped one leg up on the cart and leaned on it. As i looked up i noticed an older woman that was very attractive kind of eyeing me. She had what looked like nostalgia in her eye, a misty glaze, and quickly looked away. I then became very self conscious. I had my white Adidas track pants on with the black stripes and my sky blue work shirt on. Perhaps i reminded her of someone. After that she would not look at me. Maybe she felt sorry for me. Life as a struggling mediocre bodybuilder can be hard at times. Maybe she was shocked at all the tuna and oats i had my my shopping cart or perhaps she was looking at my poofy hair.
