I say OUT - he Hide through his own fault (got busted and detained) didn't qualify. No brainer. No one made him carry restricted meds across the boarder, let him sit it out- he did well to come back in 08.

OUT

Milos, you should make the case for this guy ,he looks 10 x  better than Yamagishi.

Steve Nemet?!?

How and why he didn't qualify - is beyond me....

But than again...he was my athlete...Do the math...30 + 20 = 65

Milos, apparently you are not capable of producing rational thought. As I clearly pointed out, i was just simply saying Branch is in mid 30's and looks 65. Then, i just said "well, he looks a good 20 years older than he is".. This is where your trouble begins: I was not being "literal" in that calculation; I could have just said "Branch looks 40, 50, 60 years older than he is.

At least you are getting the "big picture" though moron ::)

Your logic is about as out of control as some people thyroid levels

I don't know...  have you ever been busted for it?  ::)

I've never been busted for anything...yet I've been THROUGH FEDERAL INVESTIGATION - and enjoyed the show - smiling at my home...

Agents had fun checking all my Rx medications prescribed to me...LEGALLY...by American doctors...I even gave them his business card...

Wonder why I was never even charged with simple POSSESSION?

I don't possess ANYTHING ILLEGAL...

And BTW - I block my cortisol - when I find necessary... ;) sometimes with Cortisol blocking Rx...sometimes by simple supplementation...

Milos doesn't seem like a bad guy, it's just that he's operating under the delusion that pro bodybuilding isn't a complete joke.

You think?

You obviously don't read anything I say...

How do you know, he's making money, why not take it serious?

I do find it hilarious to watch some people get so worked up over his posts as well as Chicks posts when they beat around the bush and play dumb, (35+20=65)  ;D

Last year - when I trained him?

Rumor is that MetRx gym is about to close and few members already approached me with "great secret nobody suppose to know - or talk about" /something I've herd from dozens of people already/ asked me if I would consider letting MetRx gym members in my gym for discounted membership rates...
My answer was: membership is FREE if they try my GIANT SETS...or convince "The Coach or The insulin gut without ever using insulin?" to find some courage to show up in Koloseum and show me what the true athlete is all about ;

Other than that - YES - it is true that IFBB pro athletes are better off NOT being associated with me - in any shape or form...IF they want to place decent in any of the upcoming IFBB pro shows...

NO - I don't think for a second that Chris Lund would say such a thing as we are friends for more than 2 decades...I understand the reason WHY he had to leave...but I also hope he understand WHY I didn't want to just simply APOLOGIZE to someone and with that - end all of my problems, my misery, my IFBB suspension...and save my 15-year [old/long] lasting Weider endorsement contract (my livelihood at the time)...

And as FAITH sometimes works wonders my dear Coach...(sorry, I meant THE Coach!) can you imagine rather strange scenario that "someone" (like me ;)) becomes the Club MetRx Gym co-owner...and within just short few years I also become (pssssst - don't say a word to anyone) someone "super" important and "extremely" involved in certain publication as well as Federation...

And as far as most of the pros not coming to Koloseum - here are few pics from yesterday...Recognize anyone?

So........you would have no problem with me asking Nico about this?

1) Highest placing International /or second Overall/ IFBB professional at the 2007 Mr. Olympia ( 13th place finisher Hidetada Yamagishi was second highest Mr. Olympia 2007 Under 202 lbs competitor, behind Dave Henry from US - who finished 10th...both beating numerous great IFBB professionals along the way - including multiple IFBB pro champions...)

Completely irrelevant to the discussion...last year was last year, and has no bearing unles you are in the top 6 of the Olympia

Irrelevant - IF YOU DON'T KEEP IN MIND what Olympia is (let me remind you - PINNACLE of our sport...BEST OF THE BEST!) - or maybe it is best of the rest (those who could have a chance to qualify...as AGAIN - Hidetada Yamagishi IS THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS DENIED THAT CHANCE...yet by a simple virtue of his placing at the LAST SHOW in the 2007 (Mr. Olympia) and the last show in 2008 (Atlantic City) - to emphasize HOW RELEVANT is my statement under #1 ;) - he is still NUMERO UNO or at least numero dos...if you know what I mean...?

The "best of the best" qualified by placing in the qualifying spots...

With this mindset...I guess we should allow athletes to submit written requests detailing why they believe they are deserving of a invite.

Hide was "denied" the chance to compete as a result of his own actions, not the federations.

this mofucker gets caught with drugs at the airport and now hes looking for a free pass to the olympia because he was punished for breaking the law? Only Milos would be stupid enough to use that kind of logic.

I like Hidetada. And he is one of the best Japanese bodybuilders out there, but he was arrested at LAX Airport and got caught.  And his sponsor in Japan dropped him, and even now in Japan, there is a karma about him so he isnt profiled a lot. Even the Japanese bodybuilding magazine are worried about using him too much, at the moment.

Quote
He should ge the invite to the under 202 show down. He can't beat David Henry or Flex Lewis.

That being said, no special invite for the 202lb and Under.  Hidetada looks good, and get him ready for the 2009 Ironman, where, if he places in the top 5, will qualify for the Olympia.  And right now, with the date in the third week of January, Hidetada can do what he did in the past.

So get him ready for it.

As for the Olympia 202lb,  David, Henry, Flex Lewis and Kevin English are the favorites, in that order.

hahahahahaaaaaa, no way could Melvin EVER win the Olympia.

Even Dexter Jackson said that if Melvin is spot on, he can vie for the top Olympia spot. Never say never.

He had a rough start to the year, but in terms of worldwide fan attention, I say why not let the guy enter?

Yes, he got in trouble, but so did Vic martinez, and he still has millions of fans in the USA who would prefer to see him in the Olympia.

Good One..

Hi Milos,

it was actually the 2 quotes above that made me join this forum so that i could ask you:

...if this is how you feel about why your competitors don't get a fair chance, then isn't it wise to stop training athletes?

Luke Wood is one athlete that is really trying hard to get somewhere in the IFBB pro ranks, but going by what you say, then you would be making this difficult for him so long as it is known that he is "Team Milos" ...no matter how good he looks?

Hide would have easily qualified at the Japanese Pro contest, if he hadn't been packing viagra and illegal supps in his baggage and caused the Japanese Pro backers to drop the contest.  While I'd like to see Hide compete, he shouldn't get an invite to the Olympia.  He needs to qualify to compete in the Olympia, as the rules stand.  He'll have to wait until next year.

Whoa, if someone looks really good, he will place well.  I dont care if he is Team Milos or Team Chad or Team Hany or Team Ron.  It is all how they look against the other competitor.

I have seen competitors look awesome by themselves at the gym a few days out, only when compared with others who looked just as good, decisions are made.

This weekend, I asked why Dave Bourlet didnt win his class in the Open (he won Novice and Overall), and they told me that his upper half (chest and back) looked great, and but legs were less defined than the winner.  I didn't see it that way, but three other people I asked did.

But the guy that beat him had better legs, but not the upper body?

Isn't that a tie? ;D

Actually, it was very close...the deciding factor was that the other guy was biger/ more muscle....Dave was in better condition.

Either way...Mad Max kicked ass!!!!
