What countries are the best to move?
« on: September 22, 2008, 12:13:48 AM »
In light of everything going on right now in the US, where would you move to start over?  China?  India?  The UAE?  All of these places have thriving economies and are on the upswing.  Where would you go?

Good for you!  However, some of us who research history and are paying attention to what is going on right now are more than a little worried.  If you feel as if you should be tied into a piece of land who's leaders and companies are running roughshod over the middle class, then great...but that doesn't mean everyone should follow suit.  Bottom line: the American people have had their wealth (houses) stolen right out from underneath them and have been lied to on almost everything.  Why should one stay on board the Titanic if there's a chance to leave?

Everyone except native indians "jumped ship" to U.S. at one point or the other. Was that pathetic too? How does it feel to be related to someone who did something that pathetic?

Exactly.  Just about everyone in this country jumped ship from somewhere else!

The middle east has sick gyms!  There's that one gym in Kuwait where D James and all of the bodybuilders go and get treated like royalty.

Only place that is comparable to the US in my opinion is Australia.

I have lived and worked in Aus, NZ, China, Japan, England, Ireland, South Africa, UAE and the US. Even with the "issues" in the US today it is hard to compare it to anywhere else. By all means move around, go where the best opportunities lie for you and your family, but honestly chances are that will be the US for most people.
