Marriage Proposal Ends Up With Woman

It was, we assume, supposed to be a romantic moment, filled with hearts, flowers and an "I do." Instead, it wound up with a police presence, charges being laid, the presumed bride-to-be in jail and a not very happy ending.
Welcome to a home in a place called Holiday, Florida, near Clearwater, where a man named Bruce Montle went this weekend to propose to the woman he thought was the love of his life. It's not clear what happened when the would-be groom arrived at the residence he shared with his girlfriend, but cops are pretty sure about what took place afterwards.
Montle was popping the question to his 39-year-old mate when some kind of argument broke out. Police reports don't record exactly what the centre of the dispute was, but if Montle was down on one knee, he had to get up quickly.
The anger from Celeste Lagrant allegedly blazed out of control and authorities say she wound up slapping, punching and scratching at her suitor - before throwing several knives at him.
She's been charged with aggravated domestic battery and remains in jail.
It doesn't appear she said 'yes', and this is one marriage proposal that allegedly went from engaged to en guard.
Montle wasn't hurt. Hopefully, he can take back the ring.
