Help me justify a purchase to my wife.

How can I justify spending $80 on two new magazines for my pistol? I mean I just ordered them so it's not like she won't see it on the credit card slip. Help me out here.

Show her the crime stats for your city/county...this is usually a shoking reminder to how gun protection is a must in this country.

This will prove that you NEED at least a few spare clips to defend your home!

My girl hates guns, and i have about 50, so we just don't talk about it, because neither one of us will bend.

But i'm not married, yet, so things could change.

BTW - I carry my .45 every day, and will for the rest of my life. i've seen too much and will not be a victim to these thugs.

I grew up with guns and started shooting at a very young age, so it has just been a normal part of my life.

I'm really OCD when it comes to the number 5 & the multiples of 5. The two that came with it are 14 round mags (which has bothered me a ton since I bought the gun) & the new ones are 10 round mags.

If she really understands you like that you are blessed to have her and you probably won't need to further justify this purchase :)

Why did you need to purchase 2?  Is it not possible to purchase only 1?

Well, it wasn't the most financially responsible thing to do, but honesty is probably the best thing in this case.  Tell her the truth BEFORE the bill comes.  Maybe you can put the others on your X-mas list.

I'm not sure why you would have to "justify" it at all.  Unless it was the last $80 you had and you had no food for your child, or wouldn't have any more cash for some time, or even a major constant spender.  If you worked hard for it, why not buy something you need/want?  I certainly don't have to justify anything I buy to Michael, and he doesn't have to justify his spending to me...as long as the bills get paid and we don't exhaust all our $$$.

Just tell her that it's for home defense and your aim just "ok" so you need the extra 30-32 rounds to make sure you smoke that guy who comes through the door.   ;D

what type of .45 you carry overload? I too have a .45 but its to big and bulky to carry everyday only on trips and such but i would like a small concealable .45
