it's a farce either way ;)

election campaigns shouldn't be longer than 90 days.

Actually - if that were the case, mccain would have waited until 14 days before the election to announce palin as the pick.

Two weeks after her selection, Palin was still very popular and many people believed she was competent.

Today, a much smaller number of people believe she's competent.  In 6 weeks, when the election arrives, that number will be much smaller.

longer election cycles let us get to know the people very well.

Apparently we still barely know who Barack Hussein Obama is...many are just hoping.

In 20 months of campaigning, neither Hilary nor Rove nor McCain could find the dirt on Obama.

maybe it's just not there?

Maybe in his 7 years of teaching law, 11 years of senates, 3 years of community organizer and 7 years of being  a lawyer, he just was too busy to cheat on sife or get saved in church by a witch doctor?

I'm just making a comment,

If people were smarter they wouldn't need that much time. They would have seen this right off the bat. They would have seen Palin was a bullshit pick :D. What takes up so much time is the trivial issues being debated.

If people don't know their candidates by the time each of them are nominated then the whole thing should be revamped.

Or maybe he didn't anything at all. Good or Bad.

What really scares you guys about Palin?

Even if McCain croaked, what is she going to do with a Dem House and Senate?

"present" over 160 times he was called on to vote as a State Senator
Best Friends with 2 priests who are racist, haters of America...had one of them baptize his Daughters!!!
Buddies with a terrorist William Ayers
Investments with a convicted Felon
A Wife who just recently became "proud of America"
A suit that just found a Flag Lapel pin?
No military background
Votes against the surge
ants to raise taxes
Picks a VP that isn't even capable of discussing common ideas before running his mouth.

You'll need more dirt than that for McCain to win.

Mccain called his wife the c-word at age 55.
He called 17 year old Chelsea clinton "ugly" in front of a room of people at age 62.

There's a man of character.

So the Dems are just as bad or worse than Bush.

I love it!

If people were smarter, there wouldn't be so many Dems.

"If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women." -Ann Coulter  :D
