honestly, when the same shit-talking goes on for 5 or 6 years, from the same people, as they move from "22 and badass" to "30 and struggling", it's kinda lame.

There isn't going to be trash talking, or fights, or any drama.  Honestly, if the people doing the fake-fueding would focus upon sharing how they can help you improve your physique, instead of "I want to fight a stranger", they might have some larger mainstream appeal.
