People who go the military academies have far more to deal with than solely academic studies. They are preparing how to keep your ass and this country safe.
You woulndn't last five minutes in pleabe boot camp and woulndt last for two minutes of what McCain went through in his life.

If McCain had graduated 1st in his class of 899 students, you can bet the republicans would be making a HUGE deal about how bright he is.
He was the same when asked to answer the facts about Obamas openly muslim family, family who laugh when told Obama claims to have fuck all ties to Islam.
If Obama's a Muslim, it would cost him a LOT of votes. hilary was never able to deliver anything proving it, and mccain hasn't thus far, despite 'rumors' which could be designed for fundraising purposes.
Honestly, I have no love for jihadists and would happily cap ten of them then eat a ham sandwich. That being said, religion in a leader is overrated. Reagan WAS NOT religious, and was a great leader. Bush is very religious and hasn't done so well. He consulted God, but not his secretary of defense, before invading Iraq, e admits.
