WTF!!! I am sure all the people who do leg press do feel blurriness in their eye site and that is cause all the blood is rushed in the legs … too bad we don’t have G suits … same shit happens when experiencing hi G force … but to an extend to make you wear glasses … damn … that is sick and messed up … heavy weight should be aligned with proper form … and stimulating targeted muscle group … I was surprised he was doing pullover for chest as I have said many times that is a lat exercise … and while doing leg press I emphasis on pushing from the toes to press with your quad muscle and exclude the glues, hamstring and back … of course you can’t go as heavy but lifting heavy doesn’t mean  lifting heavy weights in bodybuilding ...

Really sad for Gustavo as he a great guy and respectable family man … hope he recovers as health should be number concern on everyone’s list

Maybe this professional body builder thought he knew more about exercise than you, how foolish as you have said this many times.

Let me give you a fast lesson in Biomehahnics of human motion-you need it.

1- Pullovers. Although a pullover, at least with a DB, is primarily a back exercise-it also is a pec exercise by adducting the humerous bones of the arms.

2- "pushing" with your toes on leg presses-it makes NO difference if you push with your toes, heels or ankles, the leg press is a limited range flexion movement of primarily the knee joint, so all the muscles that EXTEND the knee joint are active-including the hamstrings and quads. What you "push" to extend the knee is immaterial.

HTH's.

Good points.  Plus, pressing with your toes on a leg press is only going to unnecessarily engaging the calf muscles, which are going to fatigue long before the thigh muscles.  In short, any trainer worth a shit could tell you that you drive through the heels, not the toes for any quad work.  If you wanted to try to remove the hams and glutes you would keep the range of motion shorter, or drop the feet lower on the platform.

thats cause u dont know how to do it ... If you do the leg press the way I described you won’t feel any other part of your leg except your quad … however I think if you try to do this you will get it … pushing with toes doesn’t mean to do calf presses … you lift your calves a bit and press with your toes while trying to use all quad muscles to press the weight … be honest with your self and u will get it

i know ... but y bother when u have much better alternatives ... You can’t do pulling exercise for chest or pressing for back … even if you saw an Olympian do that in one of the BFTO videos … these are the mechanism/anatomy of the muscles
