Disaster is right.

I'd definitely pay a few bucks for a good quality webcast. Perhaps the $ could go to increasing bandwidth so we can actually watch the damn thing.

I dunno, money is money. Cable companies have no problem broadcasting a lot of questionable (to some) things for the all mighty dollar. Hell, baseball has it's own "connection" to steroids now as does football. It may not be so "in your face" as bbing, but its known.
