This guy is fundamentally stupid.  Again, mixes a few good points to gain credibility then claims the world will be better off if the US "economy collapses".

Hey, you want to let the US economy collapse NO PROBLEM, but to think the world economy will better off because of it, is to completely ignore macro economics.

Don't give me more BS about how 20 years from now the world economy will be better either (for the collapse), that is Nostradamus type stupidity.

I say the only measure I would vote "yes" on is the one Newt Gingrich talks about.

schiff's opinion is often unpopular, but accurate.

for whatever reason, people would rather be lied to.... than hear the truth.

Some of his opinions are accurate, bailing out the way it is currently proposed is stupid.

The world being better for American economic collapse is plain ignorant.

Read and comprehend.

I am not in favor of this bailout as proposed, it is a band-aid.

OMG are you for real stud?  Seriously, I am only for "aggressive interventionist foreign policy" as a last resort.

Damn, need I explain everything?  Quit reading what you want to believe.

During the debate, I could have sworn I heard Mccain commit to voting for it. Yes I know I definitely did
Infact, I thought Obama actually stepped in to save Mccain when he jumped in to say 'neither one of us have seen the wording on this...", ...yet despite that professional courtesy, Mccain still stepped in it and committed to it.

After all the hoopla of rushing back to Washington to save the country, he doesn't even vote on it?
After having committed himself to doing so ?  McCain has a bit of a credibility issue with this one I'd say  :-\

It's funny that both of these guys are treating this like a third rail after all the tough talk.

didn't he say that the bailout would make it worse than just letting the dollar collapse?  Our choice is bailout or no bailout.  If he's right about the bailout making it worse and many are saying that, how is he ignorant to point out that it's better to have no bailout over bailout and harder crash?

Because he doesn't realize the bailout is simply an opportunity for certain cronies to get their ducks in a row,
and get their golden parachutes before exitting. It's also an attempt to be thorough. Like any thorough burglar, after pilfering your safe, they then head towards your couch, and make sure they get any loose change that might have fallen out of your pockets. A last ditch attempt to suck as much money out of the system and pick the pennies and other loose change they can find. It's not so much about bailing out wall street. It's about a realization that the party is over, ...and not enough cronies 'got theirs'

Of course they're not voting. They're afraid to pick a side. They don't know yet if voters are against or for it so by not voting they're trying to see which way to fall before "telling" us what their "belief" on the issue is.
