Where does Vic Martinez fit into all this?
« on: September 28, 2008, 03:34:39 PM »
Everyone assumes that Vic will come in next year and take Dex's title.

Although Vic is good when he's on.  He's not on all the time and he has a tendancy to have a gut.  I'm not going to give it to him that easy.  He will have to be very convincing to beat Dex.  If he even has a sign of a gut he should be penalized.

Vic is not going to win the O.  Let's be honest here.  Dex demonstrated something in 08 that he didn't in 07.  You do the math.

Victor Martinez will never be Mr. Olympia.

No one from MD will ever be Mr. Olympia.

How can people not see this.

He has beaten Dex in the last two big shows together, last years AC and O.

Next year will be very exciting leading up, you have Dex Mr.O, Vic who wasn't there who has beaten him twice in 2007, a returning Ronnie Coleman, maybe a returning Jay Cutler (has there ever been 3 Mr.O's onstage at once?), an ever improving Phil Heath and da Wolf.

FLEX magazine won't know who to hype!

Dex used to be with MD.

Vic just needs to change that.

At what point does the "you must be signed with XYZ to win the olympia" stop becoming a conspiracy theory, and start being fact?

Dex had Jay beat by a MUCH larger margin in 2007...

Last year was confirmation.   Victor had Jay destroyed last year by a much larger margin than Dexter had Jay beat this year.  Victor ended up losing to Jay by 2 point when most everyone thought Jay should have been 4th at best. Dexter beat Jay by 7 points last night on the scorecards, a blowout. It wasn't even close. Yet last year when Jay was worse and Victor was even better than Dex was last night Victor loses. It's a joke.

I know, i mean from an intelligent point of view you want to believe it's not rigged or influenced because there are 12 'independent' judges judging the show yet we have this bullshit happen. Lets not talk about Wolf and Cutler not being compared last year, or Cutler even beating him this year!

In 2008, i can understand Wolf standing relaxed was probably a bit weaker than when he flexed, however this is exactly the same issue with Jay. Wolf was all over him.

I will keep saying, in Pumping Iron 2, Ben Weider has a judges meeting and tells them what to judge for, which is overly muscular women should be marked down (i.e. Bev Francois). The rules change depending upon who they want to win.

Jay lost because Phil showed up on the stage.  He aint ready and Dex is closer to Jay for an upset.  The buzz was too great about Phil having perfect scores  ::) to let Jay walk off in the sunset with #3.

The BS will come when Phil tries a lat spread against an on target Wolf and Vic.  Did anyone notice that the great back doesnt matter anymore?  That's been the Bible of BBing for a MrO in the modern until "Golden Boy" Phil showed up.  How in the world can he become MrO with a lat spread worsier than Flex Wheeler?  That one is getting by me.  And it's a structure thing.  His bone wont grow anymore.

Help on this one.
Oh...Monica!

He's not on all the time and he has a tendancy to have a gut.  I'm not going to give it to him that easy.

Dex has one of the biggest guts right now when relaxed. He has good control over it on stage though.

vic will win the olympia but he has to stop shooting his calves they all do it, but his last year were way to obvious swollen and red, i think it cost him the olympia last year, it was the only reason why i wouldnt have if i was judging.
