McCain obviously put the entire election on the line based on his faith in Palin being able to carpetbag her way into the political capital and 18 million votes that Hillary left behind.

It failed.

"One thing I used to respect about the GOP was their emphasis on responsible spending and pay as you go (no deficits) government but that seems to have vanished in recent years."

Absolutely!  I don't know how to classify Bush & his administration.  Some of the republican party has gone way off course to tradition reasonable conservativism.  I like guys like Ron Paul but he was too rough around the edges to be president.  You need a person like Obama or Romney...maybe even Hillary (if she was more pleasant) but with a more moderate philosophy in my opinion.

Obama sounds good sometimes but his past & some of his current ideas are wrought with liberalism and quasi-socialism...and honestly some pretty leftwing folks and organizations throughout his career.  I'm not comfortable with that.  The dems should have nominated someone more moderate & they would have owned this election!  Perhaps someone like Bloomberg?  I don't know enough about him but was impressed with him on meet the press recently.

she's got that annoying, almost canadian lingo thing going on and yea, with a hint of Valley Girl.  What's up with that, is that the way they talk up there?

To me, it sounds like a disgusting hybrid of the Canadian, Wisconsin, and Ohio. More so Wisconsin than anything else.  :-X

This is how you classify the Bush administration (this book was written by a domestic policy adviser to President Ronald Reagan and was a treasury official under President George H.W. Bush).

I dont think many disagree that this and her other interviews have been a disaster.

Was this Crisis entirely of his making? Not at all, but he sure as hell did his best to spend as much as possible. I frankly dont understand wtf was up with his financial policies. he got caught in the appeaser game wanting everyone to like him rather than doing what was his responsability. He was just as bad as the guys who started and perpetuated it. Hell he was one of teh main guys who perpetuated it...  The only difference is they arent getting the blame.
