Well, is this about the most CURRENTLY powerful or most powerful ALL-TIME?

either way thanos wins.  Beyonder was never close to Thanos' level of power in the End, which is still probably less than the One-Above-All, and possibly the living tribunal.

You weren't reading comics back then were you? Beyonder was all. Literally. End of thread.

well this is incorrect.  Thanos subsumed the entire universe in the End.  Beyonder at his best only controled his own pocket dimmension not the whole of the marvel universe.

Yes he did. He could end all with a mere thought.

Yes he did. He could end all with a mere thought.

maybe within HIS universe but he did not have this power over the main Marvel Universe, or the multiverse as Thanos did.

Here is his wikipedia entry:

Powers and abilities

Although not native to this dimension, the Beyonder was one of the most powerful beings ever to exist in the Marvel Universe. In the original Secret Wars storyline, he was the be-all and end-all of his universe that took corporeal form to better understand the nature of human beings. After his creator, Jim Shooter, left Marvel, writer-editor Tom DeFalco, displeased with Shooter's tenure at Marvel, re-tooled the Beyonder and altered his origin. He was no longer omnipotent as many initially believed, being an incomplete Cosmic Cube, with less raw power and the same limitations of a complete cube. Nonetheless, he possessed vast psionic abilities allowing him to manipulate matter and energy at a cosmic level beyond all but only the most powerful of cosmic entities. He once destroyed a galaxy on a whim to meet his needs during the first Secret Wars, although Molecule Man later recreated the stars in it, while transporting the city of Denver and the Super-Villains back to Earth. When the latter extracted the Beyonder from Kosmos, their battle took place in more than three dimensions, and threatened vast portions of reality. In Kosmos' 'Maker' incarnation, she was stated as capable of reversing The Crunch itself, essentially collapsing the entire universe. The Beyonder could endow himself with a corporeal form of practically limitless strength and endurance. He had the potential to reach near omniscience as well, but he died before his mind could reach maturity.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beyonder

If there are comics that show him to have greater powers you should cite them and amend the entry so that it is accurate.

Fool, are you kidding me?  Have you never read Secret Wars?

This is BEYOND the Marvel Universe.  Hence the name "Beyonder."

He was beyond space and time, he was reality.  He was all there was outside the multiverse.  He killed death and re-created him.  He was referred to as the "living embodiment of the supreme power."  He was millions of times more powerful than all the rest of the multiverse combined.

Magneto: "your life and death, your present, your future are HIS to decide."

Dr. Strange: "he has power to make and un-make power, and things beyond power; such power was never meant to be incarnated into one being."

The Marvel Universe was but a speck of dust to him.

No you don't understand the Marvel Universe, it includes all of the parallel universes and pocket dimensions (like the Beyonder's).  Death is a woman and she is just one of many cosmic entities.  Thanos slayed them all.

"The End" isn't Canon, so Thanos with the Heart of the Universe and all his feats are debatable.

Beyonder was the equal of TOAA, and that was holding back.

Beyonder had the power of the writers.  Nothing larger than that.

To end this argument, here you go:  FROM THE WRITERS

According to Jim Shooter

(Editor-in Chief of Marvel during Secret Wars I-II)
Creator/Writer of Beyonder/Secret Wars I-II)

....
Get's interviewed ... about the Beyonder by Marvel Age:

Marvel Age is an official Marvel title, created to strictly discuss Marvel stories,
and other intricacies concerning Marvel comics.

Jim Shooter on Beyonder:

Jim states:

1. Beyonder "is a Multi-verse."

2. Beyonder "was like God before there was Genesis."

3. Beyonder's discovery of "our Universe ...

.... was like when inventor Leeuwenhoek, looked through his micro-scope ...

.... and discovered little paramecia swimming in a drop of water ... "

........................ ........................ ........................ .......................

According to Jim:

The Marvel Universe was like Paramecium (a single cell organism)
swimming in a drop of water,
while Beyonder was an infinite Multiverse.

Was it in those Infinity Gauntlet sequels where it was stated that: Beyonder was merely an incomplete cosmic cube

The opposite force of Thanos, Adam ...something was trapped in one of the stones. His personality divided in two. I guess The Enchantment was the name of that story.

Do you have a link to this interview?  I like to read about this stuff, thanks.

However, the writer's opinion is important, but what ultimately matters, by my reckoning at least, is what makes it into the books.

There are a lot of characters in the marvel universe with the power to alter reality.  This does not make Beyonder the be all and end all or in any way the equal of TOAA.
