Should Jay do the Arnold?

Rather than waiting a whole year to compete at next year's Olympia, why not jump into the '09 Arnold?  If he can't win the Arnold, maybe it's time to call it quits.  If he can win the Arnold, that makes him the first 4 time winner of the ASC and gives him some momentum heading into next year's O.

i think with a payday that the arnold offers, any pro bb'er that doesn't give it a shot is crazy!

After how Dexter talked to Arnold last year, I would venture a guess that Jay if he comes in shape would be handed the Arnold Classic title...

no it would a mistake to do the arnold, he doesnt want an arnold trophy, and all he would do is tie flex wheeler, who has 4 arnolds. what he wants is 1 more olympia

The last 2 years he focused solely on the Olympia and missed his peak.


When he was doing the Arnold and Olympia back in his prime (2001-2004) he was never in bad condition. So his track record shows that he can peak twice a year.

Currently, he cant peak once a year.


So yes, he should do the Arnold. He can win both shows in 2009 IMO (if he is full, dry, and cut).

Didn't Dex go on record saying that win or lose, this last O was his very last one?

So that would only mean that he is concentrating on the ASC now.

personally i have gotten the impression that dex is pretty tired of bodybuilding. but as the reigning champ he will be back. (good for the wallet)
