Obama Membership in Socialist New Party

The mainstream media thought that the membership of Todd Palin, who is not a candidate for any office, in the Alaska Independence Party important enough to report in such outlets as the Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, and the New York Times, among others.

So now that Barack Obama's membership in the far left New Party has been unearthed, will they report his membership in that Socialist organization?

UPDATE: Wikipedia has now removed Barack Obama's name from their "New Party" page. The excuse for the removal by Wikipedia is that Obama was merely "supported" by the New Party, not necessarily a member of it despite all of the documentation to the contrary. Yes, Obama was a Democrat but also a member of the New Party at the same time but Wikipedia, despite the evidence seem to think a membership in the Democrats somehow excludes membership in the New Party. Oh, and why no denial of the New Party membership on Obama's "Fight the Smears" page?

You'd have made some point if what you say is true.  The Fannie/freddie portion of the 700 billion bailout is tiny compared to the private sector handout.  Don't blame them for industry-wide greed and Bush style 'deregulation' of the predatory lending laws.
