I honestly think you could not hit 135 with proper form.

yeah but honestly man did you really expect that he was going top do the exercise properly? i mean you'd have to be a 600 pound raw bencher to be able to do that movement CORRECTLY with that much weight, this clown is a joke.

hahahahha, it's hard to rip a muscle that you're not even working, all he's training is a little bit of shoulders, some upper back and his elbows. ::)

someone mentioned it looks like a  hybrid press... that's exactly what a jm press is..and it looks like we're doing overhead jm presses  ;D

As far as form goes, thats as tight as I can get my elbows even with an empty olympic bar. Im not that flexible. I understand that they are not as clean as your flawless form, guys.


Fact of the matter is that almost none of you can even get 185 above your head much less press it, hahahahah! :D

I think most people use a weight they can handle. Gustavo and Ronnie do this exercise with around 135lbs on the ez-bar. You aren't doing overhead extensions with 185, so why cheat yourself and the gains you could make by doing 1/4 reps?

I tried these this morning and worked up to 175 lbs for 4 reps pretty easy.  That said, my shoulder flexibility precludes me from doing a proper overhead extension, hence why I don't do them.  My form, I am sure, looks a lot like that of Wicked and Lift.  I will take a video either Sunday or Monday.

here's a tip, if your elbows move more than an inch or two it's a press not an extension. :D
