This just isn't true. Immoral behavior is wrong, and what defines immoral is often debated. Here are 3 verses taken directly form the bible that have to do with the beauty of sex. No, they are not graphic like some porno, and because they were written so long ago they sound sort of funny. But there is no question when you read them what it's talking about, and because of that, it's why most churches ignore these verses as well as the entire book of Solomon.

Here they are:

Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the young men. In his shade I took great delight and sat down, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. (Song of Solomon 2:3)

Awake, O north wind, and come, wind of the south; make my garden breathe out fragrance, let its spices be wafted abroad. May my beloved come into his garden and eat its choice fruits! (Song of Solomon 4:16)

It is the voice of my beloved! He knocks, saying, "Open for me, my sister, my love, My dove, my perfect one”…My love thrust his hand through the opening, and my feelings were stirred for him. (Song of Solomon 5:2-4)

If you can't figure out what these verses are talking about, then you're not too sharp, lol! Each one describes a different sexual act.
Tbombz, I may be misreading you post...I'm not sure.

But going to heaven or hell, according to what it says in the bible has nothing to do with doing or not doing good things. According to the bible, people go to heaven or hell based on the condition of their heart...that and nothing else. Now if their heart is good, then obviously they won't do as many bad things...not as many but they will still do them because they are made out of flesh and blood...they're human. Take for instance the thief on the cross next to Jesus, his heart changed, he had been a terrible man, but his heart changed and that's all it took. It wasn't because he had done good things, it wasn't simply because he said he believed in God, even Satan believes in God, it was because of the change of his heart that Jesus said he would enter his kingdom.

By harming your body, it is referring to your spiritual body and soul. No, that doesn't give free reign to cause physical harm to yourself, but even if you do it does not condemn your soul to hell.

Very good post, Arnold Jr.
It's always important to recognize the essential parts.

Jesus was tall for his time. He might have been skinny because he would go days without eating and walk everywhere. Again normal for his time.

Conan was all genetics and carried a two handed sword or battleaxe around each day, thats what built his huge cimmerian forearms and shoulders, this allowed him to  crush hose simple Stygian skulls with his bare hands and then destroy their women while he plundered their cities.

Instead of blindly believing whatever is said within any religion, people should think for themselves instead.

Thinking for yourself...the bible does not ask for men to give up their own thought process, it doesn't ask men to think illogically. All is says is turn your heart to God, it doesn't require a law to live by, it requires nothing more then a changed heart. Now with a changed heart the desire to do what's right will be more prominent, but you will still screw up every day. But that doesn't matter since we are not judged by our actions but by the condition of our heart. No, this is not a free pass to do what you want, if a heart is truly changed though a man will more often then not make better decisions.

As for believing what any religion says. You're right, no man should blindly follow what others tell him, all men should make decisions for themselves. However, and I am only speaking of Christianity, it does take some faith.

Look at it this way. A child more often then not will make bad choices if left on his own, if he is free to make his own decisions without any parental guidance, he will make huge mistakes. Now, a child who has a father, a good father and it's unfortunate so many don't; but if he has a good father that child has to have faith in what his father says. He can't use his own logic to make decisions, because his own logic is flawed...a child cannot see the big picture. The same can be said for God, if he is our creator, if he is our father, you have to have faith that what your creator says is in your best interest. We are nothing more then God's children, we can't out think what created us, no matter how much logic we use, logic we received from God, no man can no better then his creator.

Something I have always found sort of confusing when it comes to those who hate Christianity, in particular, atheist.

If someone is an atheist, they believe when we die nothing happens. Let's say for the sake of argument that they are right. That there is no God, that death only means death. OK, fine, the atheist was right, the Christian was wrong, both are dead, end of story.

Now take the Christian, let's say for the sake of argument that he is right. When man dies if his heart belongs to God he dies and continues to live again. What happens to the non believer? He gets the exact opposite, he gets condemned.

Why this is confusing to me...an atheist is willing to risk his soul on the fact that he believes his logic is superior and that he has an understanding of what's what. If he's right, who cares, he was right and nothing happens. If he's wrong, a lot happens and he took a risk for nothing other then pain.

Final thoughts, contrary to what many Christians do and say, God does not want any man simply to turn to him out of the fear of hell. God is not out to produce some sort of scare tactic. God wants man's heart, he wants man to recognize his creator and live a life that is full and with joy...that's all. Now when any man rejects this there is a consequence, but it was one brought on by their own hand...it didn't have to be that way.

If people who say blind faith is stupid would take a chance and try to have some faith of their own, they might find themselves in a different position. Take for instance when a friend ask you to try some food you've never tasted. You say you won't like it, but how do you know until you try it? Your friend is asking you to have some blind faith and give the food a try, he thinks you will like it or he wouldn't have asked. Maybe not the best analogy but it's what came to mind.

Personally, I am not a bible basher, I don't slam peoples heads into the ground or try to force them to believe what I believe. I don't try to scare them with hell. This is a problem I see in Christianity, but the church is made up of men and there will always be mistakes.
What I do is when someone give me the opportunity to share what I believe to be true, I share it. I never force it. But when the opportunity does come about, I have to share it, because if I believe that what I believe is true, not sharing it would be the absolutely worst thing I could do. After that, it's up to the person.

Hmm...I see you have no idea what you're talking about. You simply pulled that statement out from the deepest crevice of your ass.

Plato, Socrates, Aristotle and Aristophanes...all religious to a degree...some more then others. Can you actually argue that these 4 men were not intelligent?

How about more modern guys...by modern I am speaking of the last 500 years... last 500 years is considered the "modern era" but guys like Thomas Hobbes , John Locke, John Burch, etc. These three men are largely responsible for the way our society works today, how it's government was formed etc. The first two men, a lot of what the founding fathers came up with came from Hobbes and Locke...both who were considered very intelligent, both who were very religious...most of the original U.S. documents read just like "Leviathan" and "Two Treatises of Government."

Of course I suspect you will have no idea what I am talking about...otherwise you wouldn't have made such an insane comment like the one you did.
