Wife's McCain/Palin rant

OK so this topic doesn't touch EVERYONE... but how on earth can Sen.McCain sit there and say to a national (international??) audience that Palin Knows about Autism?? I am a mother of three.. a daughter with ADD and two sons, both with Autism (high and low functioning). Now I choked hard enough when Palin (at the Rep. convention) said she'd be an advocate for special needs in Washington. I mean really.. she's NEVER been through ANY special needs issues YET with her own son... He's still a baby.. and He's got Down's Syndrome NOT AUTISM and wont be going through all the myriad steps needed to diagnose any spectrum disorder (most of which are NOT covered by most insurance companies) until he's older and IF he has other developmental delays that are NOT associated with Down's Syndrome. He's still a BABY and she's not even up all night with him like most mothers are for neuro-typical babies. I know McCain/Palin have said enough relevant and IRRELEVANT things to cover and that MORE people will pick up on or relate to... but PLEASE.. SARAH PALIN KNOWS MORE ABOUT FOREIGN POLICY THAN SHE DOES ABOUT SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN.

There are more important things for the U.S. Government to worry about than autism.  Come on people!  The National Cancer Institute is one big bloated bureaucracy that hasn't made one bit of damn difference in the war on cancer.  Government needs to stay out of shit like that.  Same thing with marriage.  What business does the government have regulating marriage?  Government should serve several very distinct purposes.........nationa l defense being the most important.  Government was never intended to take care of people.  Let the states and private entities tackle autism.

How can Joe Biden say he knows about steroids?I mean really.He is a pudgy,saggy weak piece of shit who couldnt even manage to make his athletic teams when he was young.Yet,he was the one who said "there is something un-American about steroids".He was the one that called for hearings that got them elevated to controlled substance status.He led the other senators to vote for the dumb ass law.He knows less about steroids then HE DOES ABOUT foreign policy[hes been wrong everytime on every issue].Yet,he is the one that got them banned.

Autism touches many people, and yes, as you know, there are a myriad of needs, including treatments, certain foods, and attention needed in schools.  I agree with you, Palin doesnt know about autistic kids from experience, but soon, she will understand how hard it is to raise kids that require more attention.

Autism touches many people, and yes, as you know, there are a myriad of needs, including treatments, certain foods, and attention needed in schools.  I agree with you, Palin doesnt know about autistic kids from experience, but soon, she will understand how hard it is to raise kids that require more attention.

At minimum, she will be Govenor of Alaska.  She will not be the primary care giver of any of her children, special needs or not.
