It's 1983 and the Little C Athletic Club is having a "Press/photo night".

Mike Dayton is going to do his thing tonight, break bats, bend coins, etc. Mike, Dave, Joe & I are over on the lifting platform and there's 275 lbs on the bar, Two 50KG plates, collars  and the bar. Dayton says, ""Can you clean that." I say, "Ya, but not right now." Dayton walks up, sets his feet and cleans 275 pounds and smiles. Cold. I could not do that.

If I remember correctly, Dayton also used to hang himself to demonstrate his neck strength. Perhaps the stunt didn't go well one night....
