bodybuilding's dress code
« on: October 17, 2008, 12:25:01 PM »
i am starting this thread to put an end to the "dress code" bodybuilders and some of the fitness industry has...im a sick of seeing rusty jeffers wearing those cut off jeans with big boots and purple cut off shirts that reveal the lats...we need to stop palumbo from wearing that ugly ass black baseball shirt he wears half open with huge boots..we need to stop the bodybuilders who get interview by a media outlet and show up in a underground gym beater...i despise seeing that, and then tunnin to ESPN and seeing proffesional althletes wearing the best suits in the world...shorts, cut off tee, underground gym shirts, jordan gear, and hats are not the way to help prmotiong...if bodybuilding wants to move on, we must change the image....all this madness is creating a sense that we are a classes less cult. lets expose some of these people, help the movement, and make money.....

EPIC RE-POST of Moosejay's, "now this is how to dress for a bodybuilding show ::)."  Dude, its not the clothing that turned people off to bodybuilding its the connection with doping that ruined the sport.  ESPN never used to film men or women in the lobby at a bodybuilding show.  They showed what was on stage!  Clothing has nothing to do with it man.  Its the link between steroid's and competitive bodybuilding.  Hell anyone today with any any any any amount of muscle is accused of doping.  I remember when a person could be proud of all his or her hard work in the gym and walk down the street and be looked up to as a healthy and hard worker that goes above and beyond.  Now a days you gotta wear three layers of clothing and eat butter sticks to fit in.  Go to the gym and work out and quit worrying so much about other people, lame, LOLOL......

with all due respect, but no dress code will help improve the image of the "sport" of bodybuilding

trust me, bodybuilding is a joke whether its dressed in a $5000 Tom Ford suit or a pair of zubaz

Yeah, I'd like to see the BBrs wear full pants so I can't see their legs, and long sleeved shirts so I can't see their muscles...Lets make them wear full sweats when they compete too...that pic of Rusty and that guy looks like its at a gym, the guy was probably working out and got a pic taken.  take a breath...........

Rodney may be a good due , I have no idea. BUT, any active IFBB pro that gets caught doing this, should be first given a warning and then suspended. This kind of crap is a lot worse than roids ever could be for the BB image.

rodney's unit looks HUGE compared to his gassed up body

It is scary to think how huge it would look if he was off the gas

I think bodybuilders should sport more Bear shirts, here is an older chunky one sporting a snappy looking bear shirt and khaki shorts outfit   8)
